Kick is a 2014 Hindi action thriller comedy film, directed and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner. The film features Salman Khan in the lead role, alongside Jacqueline Fernandez,Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. While the screenplay was adapted by Nadiadwala and Chetan Bhagat, it is a remake of the Telugu film of the same name. Upon release the film received mixed reviews and became the highest opening day grossing film of 2014.
Plot
Shaina (Jaqueline Fernandez) is a Psychiatrist living in Poland. One day, her father brings a marriage proposal and asks her to meet Himanshu (Randeep Hooda). Himanshu and Shaina meet in a train were Shaina reveals about her ex-boyfriend, Devi Lal Singh (Salman Khan). Shaina then starts to tell her experience with him.
Devi Lal is an adventurous youth, who is always looking for a kick or adventure in life. Due to his daring and daredevil attitude, he could not stay in one job for long and has resigned from 32 companies as he feels that the kick is missing. Shaina first meets Devi when she was trying to help her friend to elope with her lover to get married. Devi rescues them and on the other hand helps her mother to follow them, and reach the temple.When asked why Devi replies, because of the kick. But Shaina develops instant hatred towards Devi, because of his "kick" attitude. Later, when she realises that Devi is good hearted person, she starts to fall for him eventually. Shaina and Devi decide to get married and following Shaina's suggestion, Devi finds job in a chemical lab, though he resigns it in few days. Shaina comes to know about it and breaks up with him. After this episode, Shaina Has not seen Devi from past 1 year.Shaina leaves forPoland, where her parents live.
Himanshu also revels to Shaina that he is a police inspector and has come to Poland to catch a thief. Himanshu starts to narrate his story of his encounter with a robber called Devil. The robber targets all the rich people associated with Firoz (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) 'a corrupt businessmen' and robs them just for fun. The robber is none other than Devi. After Himanshu is unsuccessful in catching Devil , Devi contacts Himanshu and refers to him as "Partner" and insults him by calling him a loser.The word "loser" was actually a clue where his next target was. He also hints were Devil's next robbery will be, which brings Himanshu to Poland.
Meanwhile, Shaina spots Devi in Poland and comes to know that he has lost his memory in an accident, thus came to Poland for treatment. Shaina approaches the concerned doctor and being a Psychiatrist herself offers to handle Devi's case and decides to take him home. It is later revealed that Devi is just bluffing, as his real plan is to fool Himanshu and rob Firoz who will be coming to Poland for a deal worth crores of rupees. Devi befriends with Himanshu and manages to enter a charity function and robs Firoz who was about to invest huge money in a foreign firm. During the robbery Himanshu and Shaina comes to know about Devil's true identity. After robbing that money, Devi again challenges Himanshu that he is going to rob huge party fund on 14th November. At this juncture, Devi's father (Mithun Chakraborty) reveals the flashback to Shaina that his son is doing all those robberies to help poor children, who are suffering from diseases and need lakhs of rupees for treatment. Later, Devi disguised as Devil goes to steal party fund only to find Firoz waiting for him, along with his gang. Devi beats them all and after killing Firoz, handover all the money to his father. While escaping from police Himanshu tries to shoot Devi but hundreds of children blocks his way.When he inquires from a teacher,it is revealed that 14th November is children's day and all the kids are going to pray for the person who gave money for their treatment. Thus making Himanshu realise that all these robberies Devil did was for these poor kids. In the climax Devi joins the police force and the home minister hands him the Devil's case, while Devi and Shaina gets together again.
